iFoodies encompasses over 3,000 agricultural enterprises across Italy, from the north to the south. It offers a curated list of artisans dedicated to high-quality food production who sell their products directly, aligning with the "kilometer zero" philosophy championed by Slow Food.

These farms typically operate respecting strict quality standards and, in most cases, follow ecologically sustainable supply chains. Their offerings include a diverse range of products such as vinegar, meats and cured meats, cereals and legumes, chocolate, preserves, confectionery, cheeses and dairy products, honey, extra virgin olive oil, bread, pasta, wine, and spirits.

The initiative aims to extend the visibility and reach traditionally enjoyed by vineyard and wine producer enterprises to all local agri-food businesses, which are also featured on the iFoodies App. The platform includes not only organic and biodynamic producers but also artisans committed to the philosophy of "good, clean, and fair," employing intelligent sustainability practices.

The various companies are geolocated using Google API markers, leading to detailed profiles containing technical information, product types, pricing, photographs, and contact details.

Users benefit from a feature called "Find Your Way," which calculates and displays the route from their current location to the chosen enterprise. Alternatively, rather than searching by street or address alone, users can draw a circle around a point of interest on the map to reveal all nearby producers within that radius.

Functions:

Home Map Tab:

• Geolocation features identify the nearest enterprises within a 50 km radius.
• The "Find an Enterprise" feature allows users to search by simply drawing a circle or segment on the map to refine results.
• The search fields facilitate filtering by enterprise name or by city, province, or region.

List Tab:

• You can browse and select specific product categories of interest.
• After choosing a category, users can filter options further—distances are automatically calculated from the current location—and access detailed profiles.

Profile Details Include:

• Name or business designation
• Full address including postal code, municipality, province, and region
• Type of enterprise affiliation
• Phone number with direct call functionality from smartphones
• Email address
• Official website link

Nearby Enterprises:

• The five closest enterprises within a 50 km radius are listed for quick reference.
• The option to add enterprises to a list of favorites is available.

Get Directions:

• The app integrates with Maps to calculate distances and provide routes from your current location to selected enterprises.

Additional Information:

• Supported languages: Italian and English
• The enterprise database is continuously updated for accuracy and completeness.
